Stop date, reduction plan, or count first?

Quitmark asks whether you want to stop on a date or reduce over time. If you want to reduce but do not know your current daily amount, you can count first. Each path keeps your own records distinct from what you planned.

Stop on a date

Choose the date you have in mind. Quitmark can show elapsed time from that date, but it cannot know whether the activity stopped. Your date is a plan detail, not a verified result.

Reduce over time

If you know your starting amount, enter it with your destination amount and dates. Quitmark calculates daily planned amounts between those endpoints. For an Activity counted one occurrence at a time, it can also calculate a planned gap and next planned time from your spacing choice and today’s records.

These numbers describe the plan you entered. They are not a recommendation, permission to do an activity, or a prediction of what you will do. Measured amount Activities do not get occurrence-based planned times.

Count first

If you do not know your starting amount, choose “Not sure — count first.” You can make records without pretending that you already know a baseline. When you are ready, Quitmark can suggest a plan from the numbers you recorded; you still decide what to use.

Whatever you choose, a day with no entry does not prove that nothing happened. Records are the events or amounts you submitted. Planned amounts and times are calculations. See how plans and records differ.
